About Me

War Eagle!

My name is Colleen Weis and I am a Junior from The Woodlands, Texas studying Public Relations at Auburn University with minors in Marketing and Leadership.

The Public Relations program at Auburn has equipped me with a professional skill set as well as settings in which to perform and test my knowledge. Through my major and minor courses I have become well versed in Marketing and Public Relations strategies and production of content.

I have gotten to gain hands on experience through several Marketing and Public Relations involvement roles on campus. I served on the Panhellenic Marketing Team for two years as the Director of Social Media and the Director of Communications. I was a member of a student run Public Relations firm, The Oaks Agency, where I was the Director of Social Media for the School of Communications and Journalism. Lastly, I now currently serve as the Director of Marketing for The Collage of Liberal Arts Student Executive Council.

However, my time at Auburn has grown and shaped me in wonderful ways beyond the classroom. Through my Leadership minor and my campus involvement I have gained real world experience as a leader . I currently serve as Panhellenic President fostering connection between and leading over 6,300 undergraduate women.

My professional approach is rooted in the belief that relationships are what connect all of us, especially in the world of Public Relations. Creating strong and genuine connections with those I work for and beside has always been apart of my personal philosophy.

Involvement & Interests

Throughout my time as a student at Auburn I have had the very special oppurtunity to become involved in several organizations on campus and serve in roles within them. In addition to this I also have several hobbies and interests that are important to me.

Auburn Panhellenic

I served as the 2024 Director of Social Media and the 2025 Director of Communications on the Auburn Panhellenic Marketing Team. Through these rolls I was tasked with curtaing the Auburn Panhellenic Instagram feed as well as the website. Some of my work is available to view under “experience.”

This fall I got to serve as a Recruitment Counselor or “Pi Chi” for the 2025 Primary Sorority Recruitment at Auburn University. In this role I lead 17 girls through their recruitment week providing them advice, structure, and guidance as they worked through the week to find their perfect fit. To become a Pi Chi I went through two rounds of interviews and had to disaffiliate from my own Greek chapter to remain unbiased. I also served a the Assistant Station Head at the Phi Mu chapter room where I helped time and run parties to ensure fairness and timeliness throughout sorority village. This role allowed me to work hands on with an organization that means so much to me, and it truly has been the most rewarding role I have gotten to serve in during my time at Auburn so far. This role also allowed me to tap into my PR skills when dealing with crisis management.

I was recently elected by all eighteen Panhellenic chapters at Auburn University to serve as their 2026 Panhellenic President. The Panhellenic community at Auburn University accounts for over 6,900 women, representing 49% of the undergraduate female population. I was officially installed as President on December 1st, 2025 and am beyond excited to serve in this role. Through my position I am tasked with leading the Auburn Panhellenic Executive Board as well as all 18 chapter presidents. I will help to oversee and collaborate on ideas for large programming events like Greek Sing and Recruitment. My job is to maintain unity and tradition while also promoting diversity and ensuring harmony throughout the Panhellenic community.

Film Photography

In 2025 I picked up a new hobby in the form of film photography. What I belive to be a lost art is now one of my favorite things to do witin my free time. Although not directly related to Public Relations, it allows me to continue to tap into my creative side even when I’m not specifically working on bettering my PR skill set.

It started when my dad gifted me his film camera from college before I headed back for spring semester. Since then I’ve upgraded cameras, tested out over 4 different kinds of film mediums, and shot all across the country including locations like White Sands, the Grand Canyon, Florida beaches, and Auburn.

I am a firm believer in finding hobbies that allow you to think outside the box, and am always looking for different ways to elevate my skill set within the Marketing and Public Relations worlds. Film photography isn’t practiced as often nowadays and something unique that sets me apart.

Below are a few photographs taken on my camera that properly showcase my skill levle and ability to capture photos using my equipment. I believe these communicate my eye for style, creativity, and ability to find beauty in almost anything.
